UKRAINIAN BONA FIDE “WATCHER” ANASTACIA-RENEÉ PUBLISHES AN INTRIGUING NOVELLA
The American writer of Ukrainian origin Anastacia-Reneé will present her novella “Forget It” at the nonprofit virtual platform Hugo House – October 30.
At 7 pm, together with Noni Ervin, the author will read the story of the main character of her novella, who is 56 years old, in a multigenerational urban family, with a problematic spouse, a frugal mother, a political daughter and a teenage granddaughter who feels too mature.
Anastacia-Reneé has received the James W. Ray Distinguished Artists Grant, the Seattle Civic Poet nomination, and attended Jack Straw and Hedgebrook. She also curated the event “Black Women In-Story” for the Henry Art Gallery – Seattle and is the current curator of Soul-Making Keats literary reading series. She has created her artistic world in which she invites everyone to fully immerse themselves.
Ervin, the cofounder of the Blackbird Writers Collective and a member of Arts, People, Place, who also received the Edna St. Vincent Millay Fellowship for 2019-2020, will be of assistance in creating vivid mental illustrations of the new novel.
The creators assure that the public will enjoy a beautiful, emotional and explosive performance that will leave no one indifferent.
