Десятки сотрудников NYCHA признали себя виновными во взяточничестве в схеме с “микро” контрактами.

Бывший участковый движения Государственного жилищного фонда города Нью-Йорка (NYCHA) был признан виновным во взяточничестве в отношении $13 миллионов по контрактам ремонта и чистки квартир.

Как сообщает The City, 44-летний Брайан Шеклер признал свою вину в получении взяток от десятков поставщиков в обмен на согласие на устаревшие и невыполненные контракты.

По данным прокуратуры, Шеклер также руководил отделом по обслуживанию NYCHA, который контролировал аренду квартир и руководил процедурами закупок.

Предполагается, что по его вине NYCHA потеряла миллионы долларов, а многие жильцы остались без каких-либо ремонтов и обслуживания квартир.

Суд предстоит назначить наказание Шеклеру, который также может лишиться квалификации и запрета на деятельность в сфере государственного жилищного фонда.
